A rich, massive, densely flavored wine packed with syrupy currant, wild berry and boysenberry fruit. Aged 20 months in new French and Oregon oak barrels contributing notes of vanilla, cedar and leather. Crushed berry and violet aromas with round, velvety tannins. Enjoy now or cellar for 5-7 years. Pairs with braised chicken, chili, goose, stews, peppercorn meats, barbecue, and ratatouille.
