Description
A hybrid red grape developed in Alsace, France, named after WWI General Ferdinand Foch. Classified as a Teinturier with red pulp creating intense deep ruby to purple color. An earthy nose similar to Merlot with good balance between acid and tannin. Quite jammy, fruit forward and very drinkable with a smooth, slightly spicy finish. Flavors of cranberry, cherry, raspberries, and chocolate. Looks most impressive when swirling your glass.
